Relationships, Relevance, and Responsibility: Supervising for Equity and Justice with Intention
Dr. Orlando Carreón, Professor, Sonoma State University
Kim Holsberry, Supervisor, UC Davis
In this workshop organized by Dr. Carreón & Kim Holsberry, Dr. Carreón poses the question: how do we talk about equity and justice when we are out in the field supervising students? In this workshop, participants interact with a supervision template that addresses three components of a community responsive pedagogy, namely: Relationships, Relevance, and Responsibility. In addition, participants will receive a lesson plan template that is aligned with equity and anti-racist values while addressing the Teacher Performance Expectations.
