Supervisors often support equitable education but wonder about the different ways it can look like in the classroom and how practices can connect to frameworks already being used. We focus on how the often overlooked UDL principle of Engagement (https://udlguidelines.cast.org) can provide a natural foundation for core equity-based ideas such as identity, inclusion, and responsive pedagogy. Participants explored an engagement cycle with a focus on how identity formation can determine and inform pedagogy. Time was provided for attendees to examine the Engagement Principle of UDL and its specific learning guidelines
