Interview with Dr. Etta Hollins

Kim Vachon, Doctoral Student at UC Santa Cruz, interviews Dr. Etta Hollins, Professor Emerita at University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Hollins shares her own experience as a novice teacher and teacher educator, as well as her perspectives on the history and future of teacher education. Kim and Dr. Hollins discuss the lingering effects of the Civil Rights Movement, the advantages of laboratory schools, and the importance of mentoring teacher educators new to the field.
